Terms of use

Terms of use

Your rights and responsibilities when browsing Luma-Hub, purchasing products, discussing projects and participating in the community.

Welcome to Luma-Hub. These terms apply to your use of this website and related services. “We” refers to Zhuhai Buyan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.; “you” refers to the individual or organisation visiting the website or using its services.

For product purchases, commissioned projects, material procurement or professional partnerships, also read the relevant pages, orders and specific contracts agreed by both parties. No agreement affects rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

1. Scope and service relationships

Luma-Hub provides information and services relating to selected lighting products, product planning and development, optical materials and supply, supported by case studies, evaluation content, community discussions and professional partnerships.

Website use is governed by these terms. Individual transactions are governed by the rules, orders and specific contracts disclosed when the transaction is made. If a specific agreement differs from these terms, it applies to that transaction subject to mandatory law. For privacy matters, read our .

Zhuhai Buyan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. is the seller, payment recipient, invoicing entity and party responsible for fulfilment for products sold directly by us and services accepted by us. Business contact email: aaron@luma-hub.com. The contractual counterparty for a particular transaction will be identified before you place an order or confirm an engagement. If another operator actually provides a product or service, its legal name, business address and contact details will be separately disclosed. Displaying a third-party brand, expert or supplier does not make that party your contractual counterparty.

2. Eligibility and business authority

Use the website according to your age, legal capacity and local law. Before purchasing, submitting personal information or entering a service contract, minors should have appropriate guardian guidance and necessary consent.

If you enquire, purchase, provide technical information or accept a quotation for a business or organisation, you must have the appropriate authority. Provide accurate, relevant information and promptly correct anything affecting communication or performance.

3. Accounts and information security

You may browse public content directly. For saved items, interactions or other account-based features, follow their registration and use rules. Keep passwords and authentication details secure and do not share verification codes.

Contact us promptly if your account is used without authorisation. We will act appropriately after verification. Responsibility is determined by actual conduct, each party's fault and applicable law, rather than automatically assigned to the account holder.

You may stop using or request closure of your account. Closure does not automatically cancel existing orders, outstanding obligations or legally required records. Personal information is handled under the privacy policy.

4. Lighting products and consumer purchases

Before purchasing, check the model, configuration, dimensions, optical parameters, electrical requirements, installation conditions, destination suitability, seller, price, delivery and after-sales terms. Lifestyle images help explain a product and do not replace expressly stated specifications or quality commitments.

Product announcements, saved items, enquiries and availability registrations do not themselves create purchase orders. Before you submit an order, the confirmation page should clearly show the product, quantity, total price and pricing method, taxes and shipping charges, payment recipient and method, delivery terms, after-sales arrangements and contractual counterparty. A quotation or order page should state its nature, validity period and method of acceptance. Contract formation follows applicable law and the clear, valid terms stated for that transaction.

Consumers retain statutory rights to quality protection, repair, replacement, returns and other remedies. Products subject to mainland China’s seven-day no-reason online return rules are handled under those rules. Lawful exceptions should be clearly disclosed before purchase and confirmed by you where required; general terms do not expand those exceptions. Gift orders follow the same applicable purchase and after-sales rules. Ensure you are authorised to provide the recipient’s necessary contact and delivery details. Follow the product instructions for installation, operation and maintenance; electrical wiring should be undertaken by suitably competent people.

5. Product planning, development and diagnosis

Before a project starts, both parties should agree the scope, client-provided inputs and their rights status, deliverables, milestones, acceptance, fees, payment arrangements, intellectual property and confidentiality. The client should provide accurate, complete information that it is authorised to share, and appoint a contact authorised to confirm requirements and acceptance. If delayed or incorrect information or a change in scope affects timing or fees, both parties should confirm the necessary adjustment in writing before the affected work continues. The cost and timing effects of additional features, design changes or work beyond scope should also be agreed first.

Research, roadmaps, design advice and product diagnosis are based on the agreed task and available information. Unless expressly agreed in a specific contract, they do not guarantee sales, financing, certification outcomes or market performance. We remain responsible for the agreed professional work and deliverables. For business projects, the parties may separately agree the scope of responsibility, allocation of foreseeable losses and a reasonable liability cap in a specific contract, taking project fees, risks and insurance into account. Such terms do not apply to consumer transactions and do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Testing, certification, production and regulatory-compliance tasks should identify the target market, standard editions, sample conditions and responsible parties. Website knowledge content does not replace project-specific verification.

6. Materials, samples and supply arrangements

Material enquiries and selection should consider use, model, dimensions, tolerances, optical performance, surface requirements, quantity and destination. Model codes organise specifications; complete requirements follow the specification sheet, drawings, approved sample or order agreed by both parties.

Samples are used for agreed testing or approval. Sample charges, processing, transport, return, loss or consumption, and acceptance criteria for samples and production should be settled before shipment or payment. Samples, custom products and volume orders do not automatically exclude applicable consumer rights.

Volume supply, finished products, ODM or SKD arrangements also require agreement on minimum quantities, ownership of moulds and tools, delivery, packaging, quality criteria, inspection, trade terms, taxes, defect handling and technical transfer. An RFQ does not create an order, reserve stock or guarantee a supplier match.

7. Enquiries, quotations and payments

You can contact us through the enquiry form or aaron@luma-hub.com. We use the information you provide to clarify requirements, assess feasibility and discuss the project. An acknowledgement only confirms receipt of the information; it does not accept a project or quotation or promise delivery.

Quotations should specify validity, scope, cost components, key assumptions and how to accept. A quotation or enquiry acknowledgement does not by itself mean that we have accepted a project. Whether a quotation is an offer and how it may be accepted depend on the transaction terms clearly stated in it. Check the contractual counterparty and official payment details before paying. Verify account changes through an agreed channel. Cancellation, changes, refunds and invoices follow applicable law and the terms confirmed for that transaction.

Do not submit passwords, verification codes, complete payment-card details or unrelated sensitive personal information in public comments or ordinary enquiry text.

8. Expert, supplier and channel partnerships

Applications help assess expertise, product scope and potential collaboration. They do not establish employment, agency authority, exclusivity or a purchasing commitment. Tasks, qualifications, payment, ownership of results and performance responsibilities require separate agreement.

When submitting qualifications, work or customer cases, ensure that they are accurate and that you have the necessary rights to share and display them. Partners may not make commitments, collect payments or sign on our behalf using the Luma-Hub name without permission.

9. Community participation and user content

When posting comments, articles, images or case studies, respect others, base opinions on facts and disclose relevant sources and interests. Do not publish infringing, fraudulent, harassing or unlawfully promotional content, or unauthorised personal information or trade secrets.

You retain your lawful rights in submitted content. For content you deliberately publish, you grant only a non-exclusive licence necessary to display it, organise discussions, store it technically and adapt its format. Off-site promotion, commercial case studies or other new uses require further necessary permission.

This public-display licence does not cover private information submitted through enquiries, quotations or project discussions. You may request correction or deletion or report infringement. Legally required records are handled under applicable rules.

10. Intellectual property and project confidentiality

Luma-Hub's brand, original content and website design, and lawfully supplied third-party materials, belong to their respective rights holders. You may read, quote and share as permitted by law. Commercial copying, bulk republication, adaptation or activities under the brand name require appropriate permission.

Submitting drawings, proposals, samples, data or business information does not transfer existing ownership. Rights in new project results, background technology, third-party components and deliverable files should be separately agreed in the project contract.

Private project information should be used only for requirement assessment and agreed services, with access limited by confidentiality duties. Before sharing with collaborators, define what is needed and the confidentiality arrangements. You may agree an NDA and transfer method with us before providing important trade secrets.

11. Case studies, technical information and third-party content

Case studies, teardowns, evaluations and buying guides help explain specific products and applications. Read conclusions in the context of their samples, conditions, dates and sources. Observations of one sample do not automatically represent all products or batches.

Third-party brands, trademarks and works are displayed according to their lawful sources and do not inherently endorse this website. External websites and services are operated by their respective providers; read their information before use. Linking to a third party does not exclude our statutory responsibilities.

If you find inaccurate information or a rights issue, provide the page, explanation and necessary evidence. We will investigate and take appropriate action.

12. Acceptable use and service management

Do not impersonate others, submit false enquiries, disrupt the website, bypass access restrictions, distribute malware, obtain data unlawfully or otherwise infringe users' or third parties' rights.

To address violations, security risks or legal requirements, we may proportionately restrict content, suspend features or take account measures, explaining the reasons where appropriate. You may appeal by contact email and provide further facts.

Maintenance, faults or events beyond reasonable control may affect service. We should take reasonable steps to reduce disruption and fulfil applicable notice, remedy and existing-order obligations.

13. Service responsibilities and statutory protection

We should provide services with reasonable professional skill and care and meet legal responsibilities for product quality, performance, information security and other applicable matters. Liability for loss depends on applicable law, valid agreements, actual fault and causation.

These terms do not exclude or limit liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including personal injury, losses caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and statutory consumer rights. Special allocation of business-project risks should be agreed in a specific contract.

14. Changes, discontinuing use and enforceability

We will update these terms when services or legal requirements change and state the update date. Material changes to your rights or obligations should receive reasonable advance notice, with renewed consent where legally required. New terms do not retrospectively change the substance of existing transactions unless lawfully agreed by both parties.

You may stop using the website. Existing payment, delivery, confidentiality, intellectual-property and dispute matters continue according to their nature and valid agreements. An invalid or unenforceable provision does not prevent the remaining provisions from taking effect as permitted by law.

15. Applicable law, disputes and contact details

These terms are generally governed by the law of mainland China. Overseas consumers retain mandatory consumer protections that lawfully apply in their habitual place of residence. Specific project contracts may agree a different applicable law or dispute mechanism where permitted.

You may contact us to discuss a resolution, but this is not a mandatory precondition to complaints, mediation or proceedings. Unresolved disputes may be brought before a competent court; consumers may also complain to a competent authority or consumer-protection organisation.

For website use, orders, partnerships, content rights or these terms, contact aaron@luma-hub.com. Include the relevant page, order or project reference and an explanation. Do not send unrelated sensitive information.
